Counsel at Cause & Case

Cause & Case (Cause and Case) does not send people to a marketplace of lawyers. We work with a small panel of advocates we have already chosen and verified. The lead counsel reads every cause; panel counsel take the cases we accept.

When your application is approved, an advocate from this panel is assigned to you. You do not choose from a directory, and you do not pay their fees.

A cause we accept is matched to counsel who can argue it — not to whoever is available for a fee.

Akshit Chauhan leads the legal work at Cause & Case. He is an advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi and appears before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, and trial courts.

His practice covers constitutional and criminal matters, bail and personal liberty, and civil litigation. On this panel he reads the cause, assigns empaneled advocates, and stays with the case until it is heard.

Enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi, with a Certificate of Practice. Appears before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, and trial courts.
